Dolphins vs Bills
Miami went down to defeat by Buffalo 30-24. John Avery ran the kickoff back to
Buffalo's 45 yard line and Dan Marino almost pulled off a Hail Mary pass
with no time remaining, but O.J. McDuffie came up 4 yards short of the endzone. The
loss dropped the Dolphins into a 4 way tie for 1st place. Recently maligned
cornerback Terrell Buckley had an interception and recovered a fumble. Shane Burton
got Miami's only sack of Doug Flutie, while Dan Marino was sacked 3 times.
"We were just thinking so much instead of just getting up in there," Zach Thomas
said. "Flutie is just amazing because when things break down, their receivers just
start running around and he finds them. He's smart, he knows where the weak spots
are in the defense, where the one on one coverage is. This is a tough loss, we could
easily be 6-2,I don't even know what happened yet, it all happened so fast."
"Flutie is amazing," said Derrick Rodgers. "The things he does week in and week out
present problems. With his size, you can't see him. He's good with fakes. He has good
feet and can move around the pocket. He's always looking for someone to throw the
ball to. We made some mistakes. We can't make the mistakes we made today on the road
and expect to win. We just didn't take care of business when we wanted to. We needed
to make some more big plays and take advantage of our opportunities."
"Miami has a great defense, they really do. It was like pulling teeth trying to move
the ball all game," Doug Flutie said. "I really give them credit. We took advantage
every time we had the opportunity. Finishing off the job and sticking them in the
end zone was what it was all about."

you're down and out in the 4th quarter and they came alive.That's when a good
team comes through, in the fourth quarter when you're behind."
